World's Most Expensive Cities

Do you know where is the most expensive city in the world??
Due to the exchange rate fluctuations and the rise in property prices, certain cities are getting more and more expensive to live in.
The surprising thing is that the cost of living in cities like London, New York, Tokyo and Paris does not seem to deter people from visiting both for leisure and work.
Well, the temptation is too much to reject I guess

The survey by Mercer Human Resource Consulting ranked 144 cities around the world, measuring the comparative cost of more than 200 items such as housing, transportation and food. The survey is aimed at helping multinational employers determine compensation for their expatriate workers.

Ranked No.1 is Moscow, No.2 : Seoul No.3: Tokyo

Moscow is so expensive to live in..I never thought of that..

Here is the list of the Top 50:

Kuala Lumpur is not even in the list of Top 50. Disappointed??
Is it a good thing or a bad thing??

well i guess it is better that kuala lumpur is not in the list of the top 50, because of its currency and technology advancement.

I feel we should be thankful that KL is a relatively cheaper city to live in. Despite our complaints, a teh tarik (at the mamak) still cost RM1 to Rm1.50.

for me, it can be at both side..
it is good because:
KL is still not expensive as we think.. in our Ringgit Malaysia currency, it may be very expensive. however, in the world by only converting all countries currency to one currency, we can see that our KL city is quite a good place to live because it is not so expensive.

however, it can also say that this is not good for us since KL not in top 50 list..
why i say so??
haha.. this is because.. those countries which in top 50 list.. are those countries in which ppl wish to stay in.. so if we in the point of view of those ppl, we will think that those cities are very good.. it may be bcos it give alot of job opportunities.. or can have successful carier and earn alot of money.. or those cities are amazing.. or culture there is interesting.. the scenery and ppl there are nice.. and so on n on..

so, why so many ppl still live in those countries even if the living cost is so high?? there must be alot of reasons behind this.. there is a good value by living there..
since KL is not in it, it also means that KL not a city that ppl wish and like to stay.. it can affect our economy.. since not many ppl like to stay in malasyia for their own reasons.. haha..
